About Skyline Rotorua
Skyline Rotorua is one of New Zealand's most iconic tourist attractions, perched on the slopes of Mount Ngongotaha overlooking Lake Rotorua and the city below. Operating for over 40 years, the complex has welcomed more than eight million visitors and serves as a world-class adventure and dining destination rolled into one scenic hilltop location.
The centrepiece is the Gondola ride to the summit, where guests can access five Luge tracks spanning over seven kilometres of twists, dips, corkscrews and tunnels — the most Luge tracks of any Skyline site worldwide. Beyond the Luge, the complex offers the Hyfly Zipline reaching speeds up to 60 km/h, the Skyline MTB Gravity Park with lift-accessed downhill mountain biking trails, Skyswing, stargazing experiences, and the Stratosfare Restaurant with panoramic views.
Skyline Rotorua stands out as a multi-generational destination where families, thrill-seekers, and foodies all find something to love. The Luge technology is designed and manufactured right here in Rotorua before being exported to Skyline sites around the world, making this the birthplace of an internationally recognised adventure experience. With over 700 car parks and easy access from central Rotorua, it's the city's most-visited attraction.
