About Padstow Sealife Safaris
Padstow Sealife Safaris is a locally owned wildlife boat tour operator running from North Quay in the heart of Padstow, one of Cornwall's most popular harbour towns. For over 14 years they've been taking visitors out along the dramatic North Cornish coastline aboard their fast RIB (rigid inflatable boat), offering close-up encounters with grey seals, seabirds, dolphins, and — during the right season — Atlantic puffins at their nesting colonies.
Their trip menu includes one-hour seal safari cruises along the cliffs between Padstow and the Rumps headland, extended coastal wildlife tours venturing further along the North Cornwall coast, seasonal puffin safaris timed to coincide with the May-to-July nesting period, and full-day Isles of Scilly excursions. The RIB format means trips are fast, exhilarating, and able to access sea caves and cliff bases that larger boats can't reach, while the small passenger numbers ensure everyone gets a good view and personal commentary from the skipper.
What makes Padstow Sealife Safaris special is the depth of local wildlife knowledge their skippers bring to every trip. These aren't scripted tours — the crew know exactly where seal colonies haul out, where peregrine falcons nest, and where dolphins are most likely to be feeding on any given tide, delivering wildlife encounters that feel authentic and unscripted.
