Now part of Path to Adventure Ltd, they deliver guided ghyll scrambling, rock climbing, canyoning, mountain biking, kayaking and paddleboarding led by highly qualified, experienced instructors who hold mountaineering and paddlesport qualifications.
Their flagship activity is ghyll scrambling — an exhilarating mix of climbing, scrambling and jumping through the Lake District's mountain streams and waterfalls that has become one of the region's most popular adventures. They also offer guided rock climbing on classic Lakeland crags, open water kayaking on Wastwater and Coniston Water, SUP sessions, archery and mountain bike guiding through forest trails and fell tracks.
West Lakes Adventure's focus on the western Lake District gives clients access to some of the most dramatic and unspoilt scenery in England, far from the busier tourist centres. Wastwater — England's deepest lake — and the surrounding Scafell massif provide a genuinely wild backdrop that amplifies every adventure.
