About Sport Brugger Sölden
Sport Brugger is one of Sölden's most prominent sports retailers and rental operations, founded as a family business in 1965 in the heart of the Ötztal valley. Over nearly six decades the company has grown from a single shop into a four-location operation spanning roughly two thousand square metres of retail space, while maintaining the personal service and authenticity that defined it from day one. The flagship Sportlife Brugger store on Dorfstraße serves as the main rental and retail hub.
Three satellite shops at strategically chosen locations — Hochsölden at two thousand metres elevation, and at the valley stations of both the Giggijochbahn and Gaislachkoglbahn gondolas — ensure convenient access for skiers heading up the mountain. The rental fleet covers alpine skis, freeride setups, snowboards, and boots from over eighty premium brands including Atomic, Fischer, Head, Salomon, Kjus, and Toni Sailer. A professional custom boot-fitting workshop, full ski and snowboard servicing using precision machinery, and a complimentary shuttle service within Sölden round out the winter offering.
Sport Brugger also partners with Snowlines Ski School, offering guests a twenty percent discount on all rentals when booking lessons — a significant value-add for families and beginners. Online pre-booking earns a fifteen percent discount on equipment hire. In summer, the operation pivots to bicycle rentals covering mountain bikes, e-bikes, road bikes, and downhill rigs, reflecting Sölden's growing reputation as a year-round outdoor destination in the Tirolean Alps.
