About Red River Adventures
Red River Adventures has been guiding guests through Moab's stunning canyon country since 2003, building a reputation as one of the region's most versatile and highly rated adventure outfitters. Based on South Highway 191 just south of downtown Moab, their operation runs year-round, pivoting seamlessly from spring and summer rafting and canyoneering to fall rock climbing and winter ice climbing and backcountry skiing in the La Sal Mountains. With over 125,000 guests guided to date, they have the experience and logistics to handle everything from a first-time family float to a multi-day expedition deep into Cataract Canyon.
Their most popular offerings include half-day and full-day Colorado River rafting trips through the iconic Fisher Towers section, canyoneering adventures in hidden slot canyons around Castle Valley and the Behind the Rocks wilderness, and guided rock climbing sessions on Moab's famous sandstone walls. Multi-sport packages let visitors combine rafting, canyoneering, and climbing into a single action-packed itinerary. During the colder months, the guide team leads ice climbing excursions in the La Sal range and introductory backcountry ski touring packages complete with avalanche safety training.
Red River Adventures prides itself on small group sizes — most trips cap at eight to twelve guests — ensuring a personalised and safety-focused experience. All guides hold Wilderness First Responder certifications and are deeply knowledgeable about the geology, ecology, and cultural history of the Colorado Plateau. For adventurers looking to go beyond the standard jeep-tour circuit and truly engage with Moab's backcountry, Red River is the outfitter to call.
