About Airlie Beach Skydivers
Airlie Beach Skydivers, trading as SKYONE, is an Australian family-owned skydiving operation with over 50 years of experience in the sport. Their Whitsundays drop zone delivers one of the most scenic tandem skydiving experiences in Australia, with jumpers freefalling from up to 15,000 feet above the turquoise waters, coral reefs, and lush green islands of the Whitsunday archipelago before landing on a pristine beach.
The experience includes a complimentary transfer from their departure lounge at 273 Shute Harbour Road in Airlie Beach to the jump site, where guests are fitted with harnesses and paired with an Australian Parachute Federation–certified instructor for a comprehensive safety briefing. Jumps are available from 8,000, 10,000, 12,000, and 15,000 feet, with the highest altitude delivering up to 60 seconds of freefall at speeds exceeding 200 kilometres per hour. The beach landing is included in every jump — no extra charge. Professional photo and video packages capture the entire experience from aircraft to sand.
SKYONE's half-century safety record and deep Whitsundays roots set them apart from franchise operations. The instructors are experienced locals who know exactly when and where to position jumps for maximum visual impact — timing exits so that jumpers see Heart Reef, Whitehaven Beach, and the outer Great Barrier Reef spread out below them during the canopy ride. For adrenaline seekers visiting the Whitsundays, this is the region's headline land-based thrill.
