About Outdoor Switzerland
Outdoor Switzerland is one of the largest and most established adventure operators in the Bernese Oberland, with roots tracing back to 1898 and a modern operation that has been running since 2001. Based between Interlaken and Wilderswil, they serve as the central hub for dozens of adrenaline-fuelled activities across the Jungfrau region, from whitewater rafting on the Lütschine River to canyoning through narrow Alpine gorges. Their massive facility at Wilderswil houses equipment storage, briefing rooms, and even an indoor climbing gym and freestyle hall.
The activity menu is staggering in its breadth: summer brings Class III–IV whitewater rafting, canyoning at multiple difficulty levels, canyon swings above Grindelwald's Glacier Canyon, bungee jumping from the Stockhorn gondola at 134 metres, and jet boat rides. Winter offerings include ski and snowboard rentals for the Jungfrau ski region, a ski school, and snowshoe excursions. Year-round, the Wilderswil base operates the Orbit bouldering and climbing gym alongside the Panda Freestyle trampoline and skatepark — ideal for rainy-day backup plans.
What sets Outdoor Switzerland apart is the sheer scale of their operation and the seamless logistics they provide. Hotel transfers, equipment, guides, and safety briefings are all bundled into each activity, so guests simply show up and go. Their multi-activity combo packages let visitors string together rafting, canyoning, and a canyon swing in a single day at a discounted rate, making them the most efficient way to tick off Interlaken's adventure bucket list.
