About ESF La Plagne
ESF La Plagne is one of the largest branches of the Ecole du Ski Français, France's iconic national ski school organisation. Operating from the Galerie le Pelvoux on Place de la Cheminée in Plagne Centre at 1,970 metres altitude, the school commands a team of approximately two hundred instructors spread across four resort bases: Plagne Centre, Plagne Villages, Plagne 1800, and Plagne Soleil. This extensive coverage means lessons start close to wherever guests are staying within the La Plagne resort complex.
The programme catalogue is exceptionally broad, covering group and private ski lessons for all ages from toddlers as young as three through to adults at every skill level, plus snowboard instruction, cross-country skiing, telemark, freestyle, slalom training, and off-piste guiding. The school also runs adaptive skiing programmes including sit-ski and stand-up skiing for guests with disabilities, along with snowshoeing and sledging activities for non-skiers. Unique Champion Day experiences let guests ski with professional athletes for an unforgettable on-mountain session.
ESF La Plagne benefits from its position within the Paradiski ski area, one of the world's largest linked ski domains encompassing 225 kilometres of groomed runs across the Vanoise massif. With multilingual instruction available in French, English, and other languages, the school serves an international clientele drawn to La Plagne's combination of high-altitude snow reliability, family-friendly infrastructure, and diverse terrain ranging from gentle nursery slopes to challenging off-piste couloirs.
